पंडित नेहरू और उनके परिवार पर विवादित वीडियो बनाने वाली अभिनेत्री पायल रोहतगी (Payal Rohatgi) की जमानत अर्जी खारिज होने के बाद 24 दिसम्बर तक जेल में भेज दिया गया है. अब कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता और सांसद शशि थरूर ने अभिनेत्री को छोड़ने की मांग करते हुए अपने ट्वीट में लिखा है कि अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता जरूरी है. हालांकि थरूर ने स्पष्ट करते हुए लिखा है कि पायल ने जो भी कमेंट किए थे वे गलत थे और व्हाट्सएप पर प्रसारित किए जाने वाले संघी मैसेज जैसे थे.
थरुर ने लिखा- इसमें कोई शक नहीं कि पायल (Payal Rohatgi) ने जो कमेंट किए वो गलत और झूठे थे जैसे व्हाट्सएप पर प्रसारित किए जाने वाले संघी मैसेज, लेकिन पायल को गिरफ्तार किया जाना गलत है. अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता है और उन्हें बोलने दिया जाना चाहिए, पुलिस को इसमें इन्वॉल्व नहीं होना चाहिए.

बता दें, दिग्गज कांग्रेसी और दिवंगत मोतीलाल नेहरू पर विवादित वीडियो बनाने के आरोप में अभिनेत्री पायल रोहतगी को रविवार को राजस्थान पुलिस ने गुजरात के अहमदाबाद से गिरफ्तार किया है. खुद पायल ने अपने ट्वीटर अकाउंट पर खुद की गिरफ्तारी की सूचना देते हुए कहा, “राजस्थान पुलिस ने मोतीलाल नेहरू पर वीडियो बनाने के मामले में गिरफ्तार किया. ये वीडियो मैंने गूगल से मिली जानकारी के आधार पर बनाया था. अभिव्यक्ति की स्वंतत्रता मजाक बन गया है.” पायल ने इस ट्वीट को गृहमंत्रालय और प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय को भी टैग किया है.
सोमवार को पायल रोहतगी की जमानत की खारिज किए जाने के बाद उन्हें 24 दिसम्बर तक जेल में भेज दिया गया है, जहां उन्हें मर्डर, चोरी, लूट और हत्या जैसे अपराध करने वाली अन्य महिला कैदियों के साथ रखा गया है.

After the bail of Payal Rohatgi was rejected on Monday, he has been sent to jail till December 24, where he is kept along with other women prisoners who commit crimes like murder, theft, robbery and murder.
