झारखंड विधानसभा की 15 सीटों के लिए चौथे चरण का मतदान जारी है. जिसके तहत प्रदेश के चार जिलों की 15 सीटों पर मतदान हो रहा है, जिनमें देवघर (सु), जमुआ (सु), चंदनकियारी (सु), मधुपुर, बागोदर, गाण्डेय, गिरीडीह, डुमरी, बोकारो, सिंद्री, निरसा, धनबाद, झरिया, टुंडी और बाघमारा की सीटें शामिल हैं जहां मतदान सुबह 7 बजे से शुरु होकर दोपहर 3 बजे तक चलेगा जबकि बाकी सीटों पर शाम पांच बजे तक मतदान होगा. इस चरण में 23 महिलाओं समेत कुल 221 उम्मीदवार मैदान में हैं. सबसे अधिक 25 उम्मीदवार बोकारो सीट पर जबकि निरसा सीट पर सबसे कम आठ उम्मीदवार मैदान में हैं.
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने झारखंड की जनता से वोट करने की अपील करते हुए ट्वीट कर लिखा कि,”झारखंड विधानसभा चुनाव में आज चौथे दौर के लिए मतदान है. सभी मतदाताओं से मेरा निवेदन है कि वे अपना वोट अवश्य डालें और लोकतंत्र के इस पावन पर्व के भागीदार बनें.” बता दें, इस चरण में 22,44,134 महिलाओं समेत कुल 47,85,009 मतदाता मतदान के लिए पात्र हैं जबकि तृतीय लिंग के 81 मतदाता हैं. राज्य में सत्तारूढ़ बीजेपी ने इस चरण की सभी 15 सीटों पर उम्मीदवार उतारे हैं. विपक्षी गठबंधन ने चुनाव पूर्व हुए सीटों के बंटवारे के तहत अपने उम्मीदवार मैदान में उतारे हैं.
