Politalks Bureau. So will the practice of sending sealed information in court stop? The release of P. Chidambaram by the Supreme Court has now started to look like this. The Supreme Court, while commenting, granted bail to Congress leader and former minister P. Chidambaram on the basis of certain conditions and in the remarks, some questions were also raised on the decisions of the High Court. The Supreme Court said “it is wrong to give sealed evidence or documents in sealed envelopes to the judge” as well as “it is also wrong to make the grounds for granting or not giving bail to the evidence in sealed envelopes”.

Here Chidambaram’s lawyers also said in their plea that it is wrong to tell Chidambaram the kingpin of scams without examining the documents. At the same time, Chidambaram’s lawyers also argued that the grounds for influencing the witnesses behind not granting them bail were also baseless and then the Supreme Court gave bail to P. Chidambaram in INX Media case with certain conditions.
